To make it easier for you to report from at the Spec-Savers Ironman 70.3 South Africa Triathlon, please read through the following information and fill in the online application for accreditation.
Theentire race section will be closed for road traffic on the day of the race. Journalists and photographers can get as close to the athletes as spectators can without any access passes, which means that even without accreditation you will be able to take impressive pictures of the athletes and report directly from the Spec-Savers Ironman 70.3 South Africa Triathlon.
We can only distribute accreditation to a limited number of journalists and photographers. For this reason, and in the interest of the athletes, we ask that you only apply for accreditation to the sections listed below should you deem it absolutely necessary:
· start
· transition area
· finish line
· press area
Only media representatives who apply online in advance will be accredited on presentation of a valid press ID. Please come to see us and pick up your accreditation together with press material.
The Media Centre for the Spec-Savers Ironman 70.3 is situated at the Garden Court during race week and at the Orient Theatre on race day.

· Computer Equipment:
The Media Centre will house 6 computer terminals (Windows/Word/online). We are also able to provide you with Modem connections (Western) or network adapter lines (RJ45) on demand which will allow you to use your own laptop / notebook. Should you require one of these lines please indicate this at the end of the application form.
· A fixed phone, fax machine and copy machine will be available at no charge.
· Special Requirements:
Should you have any other media requirements please indicate this at the end of the application form.
There will be a pre-race press conference where the race favourites will be introduced as well as a post-race press conference with the winners. Please check the agenda in the press section of our website for times and venue of the conferences.
Photographers will be given accreditation for the use of photographs only in newspapers, magazines, books and the Internet. Photographs may not be sold to athletes.
