Blog Index Countdwon and Thanks
13 April 2010
The countdown and taper has started, with only 12 days to go to IM 2010!
Preparation has been like a dream come true, I don't think I could have prepared better if I tried, or if I had an extra month or some 30 hour days.
So many people to thank, number one being my wife Michelle and children Camryn and Jamie, as they are my biggest supporters and sacrifice the most when I am out training or return tired. To Reece, who passed away almost 6 years ago, I miss you Reece, but your memory will live on forever and you wre the catalyst to getting me started, so thank you for that.
To Raynard Tissink, my training partner on the bike for the past 3 months, thanks for your friendship and support, I have learnt so much and developed tremendously as a cyclist. To witness your dedication is so inspiring and if anybody deserves to be number one on race day it is you, so wishing you all the best. I hope our run sessions have helped, as I am sure that they have.
To all my friends, thanks for your support and to my colleagues (and clients) at work thanks for your patience and support. Looking forward to the Big Day and I am trusting that I will be patient and will persevere, in order to achieve my full potential.... God willing.
